Welcome to Christ Church, Church of England, Secondary Academy

A growing school in Yardley Wood, Birmingham

Welcome to Christ Church, Church of England Secondary Academy website.

Christ Church Secondary Academy opened with the first year 7 cohort in September 2021.  We now have years 7 to 10 and is growing year on year into a 11 – 18 Church of England academy.  We might be a relatively new school but as part of the Church of England Foundation for Education, we belong to a vast and rich heritage and are part of the Birmingham Diocese Multi Academy Trust (BDMAT).

As an inclusive Church of England Academy, welcoming students from all faiths, the Christian faith and no faith, our vision and values inspire and inform every aspect of our work.

We believe that young people and adults learn and live well together in a community which is founded on life, light and love.  Growing together in love and learning is the way to achieving our God-given potential and thus experiencing life in all its fullness (John 10.10).

Our school motto is Let love and kindness be the motivation behind all that we do which succinctly states our belief that the best way to experience fullness of life is in community. The Christian emphasis on loving one another (John 15.12) is best understood, experienced, and practised in community.

Our Academy values of compassion, collaboration, strength & aspiration inform our CCSA way.

I know that choosing a secondary school is a significant decision.  I recognise the huge responsibility we have as an academy to ensure that we provide the best education and care for your child that inspires and equips them to be able to lead contented and successful lives when they leave us.  The key to this is our partnership with our Parents and Carers and ensuring we build strong relationships so that we work together and are one community.

I hope that our website provides you with all the information you may need, but please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
